The Property & farm animals

La Belle Vallee is a working farm and we currently have a flock of around 50-60 Dorper Sheep. We also have 2 goats, their names are Ruby & Coco. If you are familiar with our property or have been following us on our socials you may recognise Doug the Donkey who features in some of our pics. In April 2023 we said goodbye to Dougie as he moved onto another property in Kangaroo Valley! As we now don't reside on the property, our beautiful Dougie was getting very lonely on his own, so it was best for him to go to a family & property where he gets daily interaction to ensure his happiness. 

 

Our goats love guest interaction. We leave food out for you to feed them whilst you area here & we also encourage guests to pass on your vegetarian food scraps to the animals during your stay!!

 

Take time to bush walk around the property and meet the local wildlife, ducks, kangaroos, wombats and echidnas. Please do note that there are 3 dams on the property. Guests are welcome to explore the full 60 acres on foot. The view from the very top of the property is quite stunning, the walk up is steep but 100% worth the effort!

We are pet friendly!

We are happy for you to bring along your furry friends. Whilst there is no secure fenced area around the home, all paddocks are fenced to help keep pets out. It is the guests responsibility to ensure their pets do not enter paddocks with our farm animals. We do however have a large secure dog lock up (comfortable fits 3 dogs) located in the pizza oven area in which guests are welcome to use.

 

If your pet is house trained and well behaved, we are happy for you to bring along your own pet bedding and they can sleep in the main side of the house, where the concrete floors are only. We ask that they please stay off the lounges and out of the beds. We do just ask that you please let us know at time of booking, if you are bringing your pet along.
